Ladies and gentleman, here it is, the first teaser trailer for Platinum Games and Sega’s new title, Vanquish. Not much is known right about Shinji Mikami’s new title, but I’m getting a Shadow Complex/Metroid vibe out of this. Hopefully we’ll have more on this as we get deeper into 2010.

Geoff Keighley, host of Game Trailers TV, updated his Twitter account to reveal that the next big Platinum Games title will be revealed at the upcoming episode of this show. It’s apparentely another Sega/Platinum Games collaboration, so colour me excited.

Sit back and relax, as Sega of America uploaded today one of the many animated shorts of Infinite Space, but now fully localized in english. Expect a lot of heat from the otaku crowd. But I gotta say, the voices aren’t bad, not too cartoony. I’m also getting a Star Wars vibe out of this. [...]

For those who digged those funky tunes from the ultra-violent Wii game, we are happy to report that Platinum Games will be releasing the official soundtrack through the Sumthing Distribution store both as a physical copy and digital download. The store ships to the following countries: On June 30, you can order your very own [...]

In this short, pre-E3 interview with the gentleman from IGN, Hideki Kamiya says, among other things, that Bayonetta is neither a clone or an updated version of the Capcom classic Devil May Cry. Another interesting aspect is how Bayonetta, despite being marketed to hardcore audiences, there will be other settings for more casual users. This game’s [...]

Hum, could somebody ask Platinum Game’s marketing division if they’re planning to spell check their own videos? I would, but I’m bound to sit and watch this promising, if curious, Infinite Space trailer. That’s what I do. I watch video game trailers all day long. Read more about Infinite Space.

We know that M-rated Wii games are very rare, once in a while one such title will surface, but results aren’t very pleasing. Especially for MadWorld, as Gamasutra reports: Sega and Platinum Games’ violent stylized action game Madworld sold 66,000 units in the U.S. following its March 10th debut, NPD Group told Gamasutra. Sales performance for [...]

According to Sony’s Playstation U.K. website, Bayonetta is set to release this October. Wait… why would Sony even publish this date prior to any official announcement, regarding Bayonetta’s release date, by Sega? Oh well, desperate times call for desperate measures, or so they say… Sega is yet to confirm or dismiss October 2009 as Bayonetta’s [...]

First things first. On to the new Bayonetta Trailer. Gameplay footage and some story elements included. From Software’s Otogi is one my favorite games on any gaming platform. So, cool and hip baditude aside, Bayonetta is pushing my Otogi button. The classic demonized scenario augments my interest and hype for this soon to be gem [...]

Everyone loves Famitsu. I love it too. Especially when it comes filled with new info and the first ever End of Eternity screens. Tri-Ace’s new RPG seems to be looking as sharp as any other eye candy, high-budget Japanese adventure this generation. Also, interesting scenarios and artwork are spicing things up for Sega’s RPG ace. [...]

Did you love Platinum Game’s MadWorld? You did? Cool, we like it too. I mean, dropping gallons of blood in a film noir setting is everyone’s favorite gaming fantasy. To celebrate your violent, red obsession, Sega’s own Sean Ratcliffe has said Madworld could become a strong franchise, if the game’s audience responds positively. Here’s an [...]

Hideki Kamiya is showing some wealthy confidence regarding Platinum Game’s Bayonetta. And that can’t be a bad thing. The Japanese star designer has said, on Platinum Game’s official blog, that Bayonetta is set to be a “sadistically hard game”, dismissing any “heartwarming tale”. I wasn’t expecting an engaging love story out of this blood bath, [...]

The chainsaw-wielding Jack’s shenanigans didn’t seem to impress gamers in it’s debut week. So says Edge-Online: Yet Sega’s MadWorld, according to data provided by GfK ChartTrack, has barely made a dent in the top 40, limping in at number 34. MadWorld’s disappointing turnout could be explained by the title being released on the sixth day [...]

Feeling the hype for Nintendo DS upcoming RPG Infinite Space? I am not. Mr. Atsushi Inaba may be a talented ‘Joe’, but his work at Platinum Games is yet to spell any charm. Hey! I haven’t played Madworld yet! Give me a break! Oh well, on to the gallery… More Japanese teenagers on brown suits, [...]
